About the blog

In today’s global village many people live and work abroad for a couple of years, or come into contact with people from other cultural backgrounds in their own country. In this blog I would like to talk about expatriation and intercultural communication, but I also blog about topics such as international human resource management, cross-cultural psychology, intercultural aspects of healthcare, social support and the interaction between culture and nature. In short, anything connected with culture might catch my fancy!

Bridging theory and practice

Some of my posts are about scientific discoveries in the field, because the business world and the academic world are often two worlds apart. These posts are tagged From theory to practice. It is my ambition to bring both worlds closer together in this blog, because I believe in the importance of bridging theory and practice. In this blog I hope to make academic publications more accessible and interesting to you. Please let me know what you think and what you would like to read about – there is a world of academic wisdom out there!
